More Blessings!

When we decided to do this mission trip, I was the only one that was going to go! My husband was afraid that he could not take the time off and he was worried that we could not come up with the money. We started planning for just me to head to China. In March, we talked about the trip again! My husband had always wanted to go, but the finances were what held him back. We decided to not let money be an issue because we knew that if God wanted us to go on the trip together, He would provide! And that He has!

I cannot tell you how incredible it is to see God working each day in providing for this trip! Sunday at church, our friends David and Tana gave us a donation towards our trip. And yesterday, my Nana and Papa Tex and our friends Kara, Andy, and Mary Grace sent us donations. Thank you all so much! We are getting closer to our goal and working hard to raise money for the orphanage needs as well. My mom and dad called me Sunday after church and said that a lady that I have known my whole life who is in their Sunday School class, spoke up on Sunday and thought that their class should sponsor our trip. So from now until the end of June, they are going to collect donations for us each Sunday! How incredible is that! Only God!!

Friday night we went out to celebrate our anniversary! I ran to a fabric store and found CUTE fleece fabric to make some blankets for the orphans. And it was CHEAP! In fact, for the price that it cost to make one blanket at Christmas, I will be able to make at least four! And my husband found a store next door that was going out of business so we were able to buy two fleece blankets for less than $5!

We are planning a BIG garage sale, our first of two hopefully, this weekend to help raise money for the trip! We pray that the rain does not hinder our customers from shopping! Thank you to our friends who have donated items to our garage sale and are allowing us to keep the profits for our trip! You do not know how much that helps us! We appreciate it! Again, more blessings!

My favorite hymn of all times is "Great is Thy Faithfulness". It fits my life so well because like Lamentations 3:22-24 says, "Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for His compassion's never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him.'" He has shown us each day His faithfulness to us and to this trip! He is enough, therefore we will wait for Him!
