Oops! In the excitement of my blog yesterday, I forgot that it was Wednesday and Random Picture Day. Sorry! But I guess that God knew best because I found this picture this morning! This is Jacob's foot and little Jacob forgets to breathe. He weighs only three pounds. He has faced death many times, but each time he has gasped for a breath and continued his fight. He is a survivor! Currently, Jacob is in the Hope Healing Home Unit in Louyang, China. I found this picture on a blog written by Steven Curtis Chapman's wife, Mary Beth. The Chapman family is in China now and have been visiting different foster homes and orphanages. They are in the process of looking for a place to build the first Shaohannah's Hope Healing Home, which will be for long-term ill orphans. I am a big fan of Steven Curtis Chapman and we donate monthly to his charity Shaohannah's Hope because I strongly believe in what they are doing and what it stands for. This picture tugged at my heart because although we will probably not see anything like little Jacob on our mission trip, we will see so many orphans that are waiting for any sign of hope. Please pray for Jacob and so many others that are like him. Pray for the children as they wait! Pray that as God hears their little prayers, He will bring people into their lives to give them hope in Him! God has plans for each of these waiting children! Please, pray for them!
