Seven things you might not know about me combined with Random Picture Wednesday!

OK...with life starting to become a little less hectic, I have more time to blog. So here are seven things that you might not know about me!

1. I am extremely organized and I love to clean and organize. I hate clutter, yet I married a packrat! I would love to become a professional organizer and have a show on HGTV like "Mission: Organization." I will throw or give something away that is brand new rather than clutter up the closets, drawers, etc. I love it when everything has a place!

2. I would love to have twins or even triplets. I have friends and even nieces that are twins and I have seen what the parents have gone through and I still would love to have them. I think that even if we had or adopted twins first, I would still want other children. My husband probably disagrees with that. When or if we ever start the adoption process (if we do not have children first), we will put in for multiples.

3. Most of the time, I love to go to parties, but I hate to entertain. I love my home and I spend lots of time (and watch HGTV) making it presentable for everyone to see, but I hate to have people over because I do feel like I have to constantly entertain them. That is not who I am. I love people to come visit just because, but not to make a big deal out of their visit! Does that make sense? Hmm, I want people to visit and I want them to feel welcome, but I want them to feel at home enough that they can do what they want in my house and I do not have to constantly entertain them. Better?

4. I love, LOVE, my dog! He is such a ham and has such a personality. Dekker makes me smile each day when I come home and each morning when I get up. Since I don't have kids, I can't understand all that it takes and how it feels to be a parent, but Dekky makes me feel like what I imagine a parent feeling. He is so much fun and loves us so much! He is worth all the "bonies" and "treaters" in the world!

5. I feel that I have more experience and more potential than what I am paid for. I am not trying to brag, but I feel that I could do so much more with my life and in my job. I think that I could be doing more to help myself if I did not work. And I hope that if we have children, I am able to stay home with them. I feel that it is an investment into their lives, even though my mom did not stay home with me. I don't regret that she didn't, but it is something that I would like to do if I have the opportunity! I know that there is something out there that suits my potential and I hope to find it soon!

6. I love to travel, even if it is just going away for a weekend. OK...more specific, I love to travel with my husband. I am not much into BIG group or family travels. Again, it is that whole issue with having to entertain people. When I travel, I want to relax and let go and not have to worry about anything. I feel like I have been to some cool places, but for the last couple of years, we have been in budget payoff mode and that had hindered travel. It is almost over and I am looking forward to a cool trip to celebrate my 30th birthday!

7. I worry about a lot of things and I have a hard time giving 100% of my worried up to God. It is not that I think that He cannot handle it, it is that I have control issues...meaning that I like to be in control. I have started to learn that I cannot control everything and certain things do not stress me out like they used to. I am learning to give more to God, but it is a gradual process. I know that He has always taken care of me and He has dealt with more in my life than I have ever worried about, but He is patient with my faults. He sees the big picture when I can only see a fraction to worry about!

And back by not-so-popular demand is....Random Picture Wednesday!
Thursday is typically Lupe Day at our house and work, too. Lupe's is a local resaurant that has a $3.90 enchilada special on Thursdays. Well, today we found out that it was enchilada day at El Chico's so...hooray, hooray! It's Enchilada Day!

Hello, you don't know me but I go to church with Brooke and Norman Hogue and found your blog through their blog. Anyway, I am writing to ask you if you live near Waco Texas and if you would like to help me organize my house, mainly the office, if you do. I need so much help!! When you wrote about you loving to organize and would like to be a professional at it, I thought you wouldn't mind me asking?
God Bless,
Stacy

I enjoyed learning more about you, Allison. I miss seeing you... Hope we are in Dallas at the same time soon so we can visit. It's been too long.
