- We are still planning to go back to the orphanage in Fushun, China this summer. We sent out newsletters last week to our friends and family. We hope that we can raise the funds to go, but if not, we know that God has something else in store. We feel called to go, and we will donate all the funds to the orphanage if we are unable to go! We love those sweet little faces!
- Thank you to Uncle Fred and Aunt Margaret and our friends, the Bibby's, for their donations toward our trip! We appreciate it so much!
- We are planning a trip to visit my grandparents at the end of March. My Nana is turning 80 years old...which means that I will so be 30 all too soon! She told my parents not to make her a grandmother until she was 50. So she turned 50 in March and I was born in August. What good timing! My poor mom didn't have to tell me that! She will turn 60 this year and has no hope of grandchildren in sight! Sorry mom! We are having a special party for my Nana and inviting all her friends from church and our family. It will be good!
- The weather this week is crazy. I could have worn shorts on Wednesday and today, IT IS SNOWING! How crazy! Tomorrow it is supposed to be back in the 60s!
- We have no plans this weekend...woo hoo! I am excited about that! I think that my husband is going to try to burn our brush pile (yes, we live in the sticks) and I am going to clean the house! I might even do some spring cleaning. We are looking to see what we might be able to sell on ebay to make a little extra money for our trip and other things that we have going on! I love to organize so this weekend might give me another chance to do that!
- I am looking for a project to do around my house. I think that I might paint our front door. It is the only thing that we have not painted since we have redone the house. I will have to wait until it gets a little warmer to remove the door!
- I thought that my preview days at work were over, but as soon as I finished what I thought would be my last, we have added another one for the month of April. It is new for us so it will be a learning experience. I hope it goes well!
- My hubby is working a little less this week than he has in weeks past and I am thankful for that. We got lots of calls late at night and he worked late several nights and weekends that he usually does not! I pray that this new trend continues.
- I forgot to post sometime between February 7-22, but Happy Chinese New Year! It is over now, but we can still make resolutions!
- I love my dog so much! He makes us laugh and he is such a little ray of sunshine! Dekker has such a personality! He is so much like a child to us! We took him to Canton this weekend and he did so well. He rode up on the top of our cart and greeted everyone! His Gigi even bought him a pair of overalls! He was the hit of Canton. Too cute! His name is Dekker Benton! We named him that because one of my husband's favorite authors is Ted Dekker and we were married in Benton County, Arkansas! (No we are not cousins and yes I wore shoes!)
- We will pay off our loan in April! Praise the Lord! After that, we will pay off my hubby's new toy...the 4-wheeler in May and then we will be pretty much debt free (except for the house)! God is good!!
- I bought some fun stuff online yesterday, but it is a surprise! I am so excited to get it!
- We are still planning on competing in a half-marathon on April 6th! Pray for me! I know that I am not ready, but I can't back out now! Hopefully I can get back into routine next week!
- Life is boring and exciting all at the same time right now! But we are blessed!
Have a great weekend!!
