30 things about being 30...

So it is 12:51am, on the clock on the computer, so it is now officially my 30th birthday, although I was not born until 10:04am on August 3rd. So in honor of this day, here are 30 things (both good and bad) about turning 30!

  • We can now offically send our paperwork to China for the adoption process...although our paperwork is not ready yet!
  • I can no longer say that I am in my 20s!
  • It makes me feel old...
  • Feeling old makes you think that you are a "real" grown-up!
  • I still have things that I want to accomplish while I am "young".
  • I feel like I am closer to being ready to become a mommy!
  • I can still say I am a newlywed and I am 30 years old...benefit to waiting to get married?
  • My husband told me today that I looked "way better" than a lady that we met who also said that she was 30!
  • I can say I am 30, not in my 30s...at least for a year!
  • I have accomplished a lot of things in 30 years.
  • But I also know that God has much more in store for me!
  • My husband is older than me!
  • He will keep me young though, when I feel old!
  • It could be worse...I could be 40!
  • I can set new years resolutions, just for my birthday!
  • I guess that is it getting harder for me to think, because this is not as easy as I thought!
  • I have high hopes of this next year.
  • I am blessed with a wonderful family and my sweet Dekker dog!
  • I am old enough to know that I can learn something new everyday!
  • I am also learning that life is short and you should make the most of every opportunity.
  • The older I get, the more I am worth!
  • My husband blessed me with a wonderful weekend away and a special gift from our future daughter's homeland.
  • He makes me smile everyday, even when he is a grouch!
  • He is teaching me that life is too short, not to have fun.
  • I am going to try to do one new thing or break one old habit everyday this next year.
  • My priorities in life have changed...in a good way!
  • I am learning that what people think does not matter to me that much anymore.
  • It only matters what I think about myself.
  • And what God thinks about me!
  • "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans to keep y0u and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future! - Jeremiah 29:11
