Ten Things on Thursday and a little more

So Genna went to the doctor yesterday for her four month checkup. Hard to believe that she is already four months old. Here are ten things about Genevieve...

1. She weighs 13 pounds, 10 ounces. Two months ago she was 12 pounds. She is now in the 50th percentile for weight.

2. She was 23 inches long yesterday, which puts her in the 5th percentile for height. Looks like she is going to take after daddy.

3. She had to have one oral immunization and two in the leg and she did great. She cried until I picked her up, which was about the moment that the nurse pulled the needle out and she was fine. She is such a good baby.

4. She now loves her tummy and prefers to sleep on it. She rolls back and forth from tummy to back and then to her tummy and can scoot around on her tummy, mostly backwards.

5. We got the okay to start on some solids so Saturday morning, we are going to attempt some cereal. From there, if she can handle the spoon, we are going to work towards some veggies.

6. She has learned to pull the jingle bugs on her carseat and loves playing with them, but still hates the carseat if we are not moving. Can't say I blame her. She has also learned to give kisses, but they are all opened mouth so you have to be ready for slobber. We don;t really mind it!

7. She loves to be outside and loves to watch the dogs run around. It is funny to see her reaction to them when they are going every which way. She is also enjoying their kisses a little better.

8. She is getting a new carseat in the next couple of weeks because she is almost too big for her old one. Shopping for and buying a new carseat might be harder than choosing what college she will attend. Just saying!

9. She likes to sit in her Bumbo chair and chew on her teething ring. This is something that we just starting trying again this week. We liked the Bumbo chair before, but it made her spit up a little, but since we are closer to sitting up on our own, we are doing better in the seat.

10. She still is the best thing, so much fun, and the love of our lives. She is perfect!

We hung a new light above our kitchen window. It was an old square one that was built in from the late 1960s and we also put some ceiling detail in as well. I really like the way that it turned out and that we were able to add a little extra fun and detail to it. My hubby is the greatest!
On another note, we did finally finish two projects around the house. First, I painted one wall in my laundry room with chalkboard paint. It turned out good, but I have a few things that I still need to do to it.

Happy Thursday! Looking forward to a productive weekend.
