Two months from tomorrow we will board a plane bound for Beijing, China. It is an adventure that we will take for the third (and possibly) last time. A few days later (after loving on some kiddos at Philip Hayden), we will board another plane with our final destination being the Children's Social Welfare Institute in Fushun, China...our home away from home.
Many of you have heard our story and have read about our other two trips on our blog, but I wanted to update a little on why we go...
- God has given us a love for this people group, more specifically, this orphanage, these kids, these nannies, and these government workers.
- He has shown Himself to us through their faces.
- He has impressed on us that we need to be "Jesus with skin on" to them so that they might see the love of our Savior in our actions since our words cannot be understood.
- He has given us a group of friends over these trips that are so dear and special to us. We have been through so many wonderful blessing together. No one else can understand why we go like they do.
- Because He called us to...
Please pray for our trip this year. We feel that it might be our last for awhile as God calls us to focus on our family here at home. This orphanage has become a part of us. I will say that never has a day gone by that I do not think of some aspect of my previous trips and marvel at God. Only He could done what we have seen happen. He is worthy of all our praise!
