My first...

Early Saturday morning we headed out to Dallas with a couple of friends to my first Dallas Cowboys football game. It was in the new stadium which made it that much better. First we met a group of my old friends for lunch, which was great. You never really realize how much you miss people until you only get to be with them for a short amount of time. They are all amazing people and it was wonderful to get together.
We stopped off at our hotel and had a quick nap before making our way towards the stadium. We made a pit stop at Whataburger as to not leave all of our money at the concession stand at the stadium. Surprisingly, there was little traffic and we only had to pay $30 for parking. I say only because we were told to expect $75. We had a little over 1/2 a mile to walk to the stadium, but it was fine. Here is one of our first peeks at the stadium on our hike...

The stadium really was incredible. And we had pretty good seats. We were in section 215, seats 1-4. We were right next to reserved seating, but didn't have to pay their prices. Here is the view from my seat.
The most amazing thing was the MEGA JUMBOTRON. This thing is 60 yards long. Amazing. And we found ourselves watching it more than watching the live game. I probably only watched 10 or so plays on the field. On the MEGA JUMBOTRON (by the way, I made up this name) you can see Romo's sweat up close. And just by cheering, we made it on the MEGA JUMBOTRON, although I could not get a picture quick enough. But we were famous for a minute there... A pic of the MEGA JUMBOTRON.

They announced the players at the start of the game and all the cheerleaders and even a little fire show brought them running out on the field. I had to hold hubby back from running out among the cheerleaders himself!

And this cute little girl group from Lubbock, the Cactus Cuties, sang the National Anthem and did an incredible job.
And here is me and my love at the game. We had such a good time and a good weekend away. I enjoyed going to the game with him. He was in awe of everything...and he's been to a game, but the stadium really was impressive. His having fun made it that much more fun for me. I love him so much!!

After the game we had no traffic on our way back to the hotel, but we stayed up a LOT later than usual to watch some sports highlights. It was almost 1:00 am by the time we went to bed and I was excited about being able to sleep late on Sunday morning. But...my beauty sleep was interrupted by the fire alarm at our hotel at 8:00 am. So much for sleeping in. Instead we grabbed breakfast, came back and got ready, and headed out for a fun filled afternoon and the drive home. Too bad weekends can't be five days long and work weeks two days!
