I have decided to make Wednesdays "Random Picture Day". Since I am in my Asian period, here is one of the Giant Buddha at the Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island, close to Hong Kong. It is the world's tallest outdoor seated bronze Buddha, weighing in at 250 tons. I visited the Buddha and the monastery when I went to HK, and even though I took the "Christian tour" staying only about half an hour, I did walk up all 268 steps to see this Buddha up close.
