150 Things

1. I am an only child.
2. I hated being an only child.
3. I loved being an only child.
4. I am very close to my parents.
5. My parents gave me the middle name Kay, after my mother.
6. If I have a daughter, her middle name will be Kay.
7. I want to adopt a little girl or twins from China.
8. I've wanted to adopt for as long as I can remember.
9. My husband says I talk about it too much.
10. I love my family.
11. I was raised in a Christian home.
12. I am proud of that!
13. I am still a Christian.
14. I'm kind of a loner at times - I enjoy some measure of solitude in my life.
15. I don't mind being alone.
16. But I would rather be with my husband.
17. I didn't get married until I was 26 years old.
18. I am glad that I waited.
19. He is my best friend.
20. We dated when I was 18 and a freshman in college.
21. He was 23 and graduating from college.
22. We broke up and I kissed him for the last time in 1997.
23. I did not kiss another person until I kissed him again in 2003.
24. I am glad that I waited for that, too.
25. I do not have a hero.
26. If I did, it would be my parents and grandparents.
27. They are all amazing people and I strive to be like them.
28. I like to think that I have a little of each of them in my personality.
29. I knew all four of my grandparents and six of my eight great-grandparents.
30. I lost my first grandparent, my Grams, last year.
31. She is one of the most amazing women I know.
32. I hope that I can love like she loved and be half of the woman she was.
33. Both sets of my grandparents have been married for over sixty years.
34. I pray that for my marriage.
35. I have always wanted to read the Bible cover to cover.
36. I am a neat freak who often lets a mess build up.
37. I try to exercise.
38. I love the feeling and results, but I'm inconsistent.
39. I often cope with things by overeating,
40. Maybe I should try over exercising.
41. I respect Chinese culture.
42. I want to know more about it.
43. Other than the U.S., I have spent the most time in Asia.
44. I am going back to China this summer.
45. It is for a mission trip.
46. I feel called to missions.
47. I could live in Asia and be happy.
48. I feel strongly about orphans and want badly to volunteer in some capacity.
49. I find joy in simple things.

51. I love to read.
52. I wish I had time to read more.
53. I have not found my dream job.
54. I think that it lies somewhere in the adoption world.
55. I am never happy with my image in the mirror.

61. Actually, I have two.
62. One is a girl, the other is a boy.
63. They are two of the great loves of my life.
64. I am the only granddaughter on my mom's side of the family.
65. I am the only grandchild on my dad's side.
66. I do want my children to know their grandparents and great-grandparents.
67. I was never an aunt until I got married.
68. I now have two nephews and four nieces.

129. As much as I try, I cannot live without Wal-Mart.

132. Every week I tell myself that I will eat better and lose weight.

137. I think that it is rude not to.

139. I do not remember as much history as I would like.
140. I have owned three houses.
141. The house that I live in now is my favorite.
142. It is the house that my husband grew up in.
143. His dad built it before he was born.
144. He died when my husband was seven.
145. From what I know, he was an incredibly interesting man.
146. My mother-in-law is one of the most giving people I know.
147. She gave me the best gift, my husband.
148. My husband makes me want to be a better person.
149. He deserves more than I am.
150. God often teaches me through everyday circumstances.
