I am not sure if this is the orphanage that we will be visiting or not, but I found a picture online of "Fushun orphanage" and thought it might be the same one! Happy Random Picture Wednesday!
We received our travel itinerary yesterday and more and more people seem to be joining our travel group. I am excited to meet them all because they are from all over the U.S. Our team leaders are from Colorado, we have a retired couple from Florida, there are at least two college students, one from Oklahoma and one from Kansas. We even have one lady who lives in LA, but is from Singapore. Her relatives live in a province in China where our team leaders adopted their son from. That is a God thing! We are meeting everyone through e-mail right now and are hoping to be able to have a conference call sometime soon. It is amazing to me to see God bring us all from different areas to come together for His purpose. I know that He has great things in store for this trip!

I cannot say enough about how we have seen God work and His blessings through the planning of this trip. He has done so much and provided for us financially, as well as provided items and people to donate to the orphans that we will come in contact with. Thank you to our friends Mr. and Mrs. Pope, my cousin, Brian, our friends, Bill, Linda, and Kelsey, and friends (who are like family), Bruce, Janella, and Brian R. Brian R. was the one who challenged me to get out of my comfort zone. He went to Hong Kong back in 2002 to be a youth minister at a church there. I went to visit in 2003, which was my first trip overseas, and I fell in love with the Chinese people. I saw the need for them to hear the Gospel. When I came home, I went searching for ways to reach out to them. That led me to a mission trip to Singapore and Malaysia to work with Chinese students, which is also where I felt called to adopt and a stronger pull towards mission work. I have Brian R. to thank for all of that!
I am getting excited about our trip as it is just two months away! The months are packed with activities to help us raise more money for the orphanage and visit friends and family. I know that this will be a life changing trip!
