For the Next Year....

Today is my 29th birthday! I think that I have done a lot in my 29 years, but 30 is now just a year away and there is so much more that I want to do in life. Since 30 is such a milestone, I have set some small goals of things that I want to accomplish in the next year! Here goes...

  • Go on another mission trip! (I know that we just got back, but God has much more in store for us!)
  • Compete in and complete a 1/2 marathon! (It may be mostly walking, but I want to be able to say that I did it!)
  • Work out every weekday, work on losing weight, and getting to my goal by my next birthday! (OK...this is a goal for each day and will help me with the 1/2 marathon!)
  • Give up sodas! (This goes hand in hand with the last goal. I really do not drink too many, but every little bit helps...plus, they are just not good for you!)
  • Read my Bible through in one year, plus be more devoted to having my quiet time each day! (Not just a quick prayer because I am so rushed!)
  • Learn more about China! (My heart is there and I feel like I need to know more so I can better serve!)
  • Stick with our budget and be COMPLETELY debt free by my next birthday! (We can and will do it...barring any more surgeries on my part!!)
  • Finish our projects around the house that we have already planned for! (This goes back to the last goal of sticking to our budget as well!)
  • Attend an adoption seminar and read more about the adoption process! (China requires that both parents be 30 to adopt so we are now ONE year away!)
  • Make wise purchases and realize that we have more than enough to get by! (This also includes getting rid of stuff that we really do not need!)

Great Goals! I know your heart is in China, but if you want to do a Mission trip and come to Romania you are more than welcome!

(Oh hey! I know Susan Muske (the comment above!) small world!)

Anyway! Hey Allison! It is so neat to read your blog and get caught up with ya'll! I am so excited for your China adoption! It is neat that there are other family members who will be going through similar stuff as us! I will keep in touch through your blog!
