Random Picture Wednesday!

I am still alive, but barely hanging on. My last preview event for work was last week...note that I have said that before, until another one was dropped in my lap. Hopefully this will be the last time that I say that. We have been traveling to see family and spend some time with everyone so maybe we can stay home for the next two months! I feel the need to be home!! And we have exciting news! We have been planning on going back to China this year to the orphanage in Fushun. With the costs of everything rising, we were unsure about finances and had pretty much told ourselves that we were probably not going to be able to go this year. But when God tells you to do something, He makes a way. So now, we are the TEAM LEADERS for our trip to Fushun! Yes, you read that correctly. It scares me to type it! Yesterday, our team leader, Natalie, had to back out of the trip. They have three children at home, one of which was adopted from China. Nate is almost four years old and is having surgery in May to correct his cleft palate and they are adopting a little girl from China, Grace, pretty soon. She has a cleft palate as well. They just have a lot going on and are not going to be able to go this year. They asked us if we would be interested in leading the team. My initial reaction was "NO"! That is too much responsibility! Leading a group in the U.S. is one thing, but in China where I cannot speak Chinese and cannot read Chinese...NO!! But I started praying about it and then I called my husband. Of course, his initial reaction was YES!! We talked about it and realized that maybe this is God's way of allowing us to go...Visiting Orphans will pay the way of the team leader, so we only have to come up with the money for one of us to go. But more importantly than that, we both feel like maybe this is God's way of preparing us for something that we may be doing in the future. So we both agreed about it last night, but wanted to sleep on it and pray about it more. This morning, I woke up with a peace (which is the random picture for today) about it and we are letting everyone know today that we will lead. Natalie reminded me yesterday that we have the Lord going with us and He is greater than anything that we might encounter! So please remember us in your prayers! This is a BIG step for me...I am organized and have been in many leadership roles, but this is a BIG one! We leave two months from Friday. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." - Proverbs 3:5-6
