Two most important words...

Four years ago today we took the biggest step in our lives. Aside from the decision to become Christians, it was the most important decision of our lives. Two little words changed our world, and in my opinion it was for the better. Four years ago today we said, "I do."

Two words....

It is funny to think how two words can turn your world upside down in such a wonderful way. Never would I have imagined my life this way, but I am glad that I couldn't because it is so much better in real life than it could ever be in my imagination. To think about the ride that we have had in just four short years...vacations, home improvements, the adventure of adoption, mission trips, blessings that are unmeasurable. All those things would have been wonderful to begin with, but together are more than I could have ever hoped for.

Two words...

I have thought about how I could sum up our marriage in two words from start to finish. Not sure if it can be done, but here is a try.

I do...hello honeymoon...Caribbean cruise...scuba diving...real world...living apart...home repair...finally together...new jobs...Dave Ramsey...losing Grams...adventure racing...first year...swimming pool...another job...more improvements...Las Vegas...still working...China's calling...unexpected surgery...second year...China trip...life changing...Amazing God...back home...what's next...living life...new truck...Merry Christmas...planning ahead...adoption adventure...debt free...third year...thirty-five...home study...China again...finally 30...more paperwork...finger printing...more waiting...Haynesville Shale...red Beetle...lawn mower...new job...new year...finally LID...paper pregnant...loving life...family car...still planning...another year...love you...Happy Anniversary!

So here is to those two little words that we spoke only four short years ago and to the two words that we have yet to hear over the next sixty years of bliss...

Hello China...getting older...we're pregnant!...Happy Birthday...finally time...China doll...gotcha day...forever family...life's crazy...two kiddos...maybe three!...still together...school days...years pass...starting college...we're retiring...leisurely life...sixty years...maybe more...wedded bless...wonderful life!
