May...

So it is already May and it started off with a bang...
Happy belated birthday to my Dad who turned another year older on Saturday. We had a great day meeting up with him and mom to celebrate on his big day.

Sunday was our two month LID anniversary. I know that I will be blogging a lot of anniversaries related to our LID. I don't want to believe a website that a lot of people in the adoption world rely on, but I put in our LID of 3/3/2009 and it said that we will receive a referral on 7/3/2019...yes, you read that right 2019!! Hopefully it is a wide guesstimate and it is about seven years off, but who knows. I read the blog of a family who has a LID of 3/29/06 and China has matched up to 3/8/06. They have been told that it will probably be 2010 before they received their referral. Pray for this to speed up! We joked this weekend of how I wanted to be able to stay at home with my kids and my hubby said that he could just retire a year early and stay home with her! :) Hopefully, this is just a joke!
We are only a month and a half away from our trip to China and May is already getting full. We have three nights this week that we are meeting friends, which is great because we have not seen these friends in awhile. Saturday holds possible home repairs as we bought a new double oven this weekend and realized that it is going to require a little more demo than we thought. I have total faith in my hubby that he will get it done. He has turned into Mr. Fix-it and it pretty good at it! Also, my hubby's family is coming to visit his grandmother on Saturday so it will be family time as well. Next week I have lunch with a good friend. We are discussing possible plans for a Ranger game over Memorial Day. The end of the month is ,my hubby's birthday...the list goes on and on. So here's to May...enjoy before it is gone!

I used that website too, for the guesstimate, and it said our wait would be ten years! Don't lose hope. I don't think it will be that long! Do you guys need anything for your trip to Fushun? I got to support Lily's friends!

If you would like to send anything, I am more than glad to take it. Not sure what we need really. We all have theme days that we do each day and we have a birthday party. We always give them birthday bags with all kinds of little stuff in it. If you come up with anything that you would like to send, let me know. 41 days...
